Well done to all those that played and to the lads who came in at the last minute to ensure we had 11 players on the day.It was hard this year as many regulars that have played over the last few years have not been available. Malcolm Read has been out all season with a back injury, Nicky Birt out for most of the season with an arm injury. Jamie Gawler missing this season because of his R.A.F duties, Lawrence, Paul H and Clive missing games with work commitments. Hopefully we will see more of them next Season. Good to see Tim Beck and Graham Corbin playing this year and to to see my son Harry and his mate Ryan Turner both coming in regularly at the last minute.Also thanks to our illustrious Chairman Dave S who even though retiring a few seasons ago still plays a few games each year and when not playing he is umpiring. Thanks to Jocky who does more than his fair share of umpiring.Well done to Sean and Steve Damen who are both improving with bat and ball.Geof and Matty who have both batted extremely well this year. Thanks to Lewis fitzjohn another of our debutante this year and took a few wickets too( oh and to his dad, Thanks large !!).A mention to Martin Forward who also made his debut this year playing nearly all season even though not getting a bowl or a bat every week still enjoys playing and taking a few catches .Thanks to Steve Edwards who again does not bowl or bat much but still enjoys playing. Without these players we would not be able to field a full team each week.Oh yes must mention Robin and Sue Sedgeley who regularly come down each year from Yorkshire and take part in the tour of Sussex, the only games of cricket Robin plays each year. Thanks to Nick who keeps the web site up to date (well more-or-less) and who will be back playing next Season.

I have really enjoyed the season even with the hard work of getting a side together each week and already looking forward to next season(not wanting to wish the time away too quickly.

ps Hello Stuart O'Donnell thanks for the letter and if you are down this week next season your playing and not just umpiring.!!!!

p.p.s Forgot to mention all those that come and support us each week. Ted and Harold Bosisto, Keith and Jean Read and especially to Alan and Louise Damen( and Jo and Marie) who we all send our best wishes and hope Alan keeps improving after such a dreadful year.
